Information about Azerbaijan regions
The area usually named as Guba-Khachmaz region is located in the
northeast of Azerbaijan, to the north from Baku. It is the closest
mountainous area to Baku among all other mountainous area of Azerbaijan
- two hours of driving on modern highway.
A journey to this region will give you an opportunity to visit
famous Chirag-gala fortress, Khinalig settlement home to indigenous
tribe. In the Guba district you will see a cascade of waterfalls on the
Gudialchay River at the Tangaalti Gorge. This is the kingdom of flowing
water, shining in the sun will have an unforgettable effect on you.
At the Kinkhirt waterfall, which is located in the upper reaches of the
Velvelichay River you may to bath in the crystal streams falling from
25 meters high. The largest tourist zone Nabran offers a traditional
rest - there are numerous beaches, shady woods, picturesque bays, a
rich and various evening life "after a beach". |
